On Again, Off Again
So, this morning my computer worked long enough for me to do the edits on the paper I finished yesterday. As I was typing an email to my professor, the screen went black. I think that the email with the paper attached went through - but I still have NO IDEA what to do about my screen problem.

This is Tony...Shannon informed me of you laptop issues. Can you check to see if you anti virus is up to date.
Also you can check your screen brightness by pressing the blue Fn Key and holding it down and tapping the up arrow and down arrows keys. That will brighten or lessen the screen.
Third thing is to download zone alarm to see if someone is back dooring your system? Make sure also that when your computer is plugged in to your DSL that your wireless is turned of or removed from the PCMIA slot.
Also you can go to start click on run. Type... CMD
when that screen comes up. type ipconfig /all
Note the ip address it gives.
after that type ipconfig /release
Make sure it says 0.0.0.0
then type ipconfig /renew
type ipconfig /all
See if the ip changed.
And finally somewhere in that pile of software and such is a Dell Diagnostics disk stick into your cd/rom and run it. This will go through and check to make sure your system hard ware is working ok.
Also Did you get your vonage hooked up yet as well and if so whats the # for everyone? Shannon has vonage at her house and arrangelments can be made and such.
