I made it (so did my luggage)

For those of you wondering about my wanderings, I did arrive safely in Basel yesterday and was very happy to find that my luggage had arrived as well. After waiting for about 45 minutes I called the details coordinator to find out how I could be missing my ride. As it turns out, she had somehow missed my email about my flight details. I was really glad that my African cell phone liked working in Basel. It didn't particularly like Charles de Gaul in Paris. Eventually, I got a ride to Kandern and now I am drinking in all the green grass, green trees, green bushes, green plants...

Hi Rebecca,
Glad to hear you made it along with your luggage this time!
When do classes start? Will you have any classes this summer taught by Dr. McC? (If so, say hello =)
Isn't it great news about Daniel and Becky Ann? She looked great at Addyson's and Silas's dedication. Perhaps Mam and Grampie will share some info about a note they just received from Dan and Becky Ann...
More later,
love Aunt Shirley

Aunt Shirley -
I do have Dr. Mac for a class next week. I sure am glad she's the teacher - because I think she can make anything make sense! The book is one of those that seems to grow. The more you read, the longer it gets... This weeks class is fascinating - on The Diverse Learner. We'er doing stuff on Multiple Intelligences and learning styles. Can't wait to see you!

Hi again,
I am SURE you will love the multiple intelligences and learning styles info. It is such "fun" especially when you apply it to what you know about yourself!

I got an email from Amy V...posting a bit of it, as I know you will smile: Amy said, "I am so glad that Becky and Rachel are planning on coming. It is something to look forward for to me."

I will also be making a trip to the farm -will stop on way to/from the Cape- at end of July and beginning of Aug.

Okay, tonight is "Roots Auction" night and I am still at school! Oh well, it's too hot to be traipsing around (95 today). Shall I pick you up some clove candies next week?!
Love you,
Aunt Shirley

Aunt Shirley -

I guess I will skip the clove candies since I am trying to be careful of my teeth - knowing that I have two that are cracked... I wouldn't mind some of your heat tho. It is FREEZING here & I was wishing for my hot water bottle last night as I was lying in bed!

You're right - the learning styles & MI stuff is fascinating. I'm researching right now for a presentation I have to give tomorrow.

XO!

Shirley was commenting on a note we got from Danny & Becky Ann. It had an extra name added....Abigail Grace. Doesn't that have a nice sound to it? Shirley is here now to see what I do wrong when I try to Blog you. I'm still waitng in case some of the younger generation will explain "Green Eggs" to me????
