Jersey Falls
I miss fall. I was sunbathing here on Sunday. I like the warm weather, but here it goes from hot and sunny to rainy and cold without any warning at all, and the palm trees dance the same dance from spring until fall.
I miss New Jersey falls - with yellow sunshine dancing through the vibrant shades of red and orange leaves, painting kaleidescope patterns on the roads. I miss driving, maybe a little too fast, on the back roads with the windows down, breathing deep breaths of crisp autumn air pregnant with the scent of the freshly mowed corn fields, the last cutting of hay, fallen apples and the lingering whiffs of last night's bonfire.
I suppose when I leave here I'll miss the sea.

Missing you lots here in Greenville. I've been wondering if you had fallen off the blog world lately. Tony surprised me with a trip to the Biltmore on Saturday and it was beautiful travelling up into the mountains and getting away from Greenville for a day! The beautiful colors on the leaves remind me of how awesome our Father is!
I was just reflecting on that beauty today, as I walked through a greenbelt on the way off the hill, and looked back, and it was this amazing mixture of evergreens and temporary yellows and reds and oranges covering the hillside.
Growing up in the south, I had figured that places like New Jersey were just really big, sprawling cities and couldn't possibly experience such beautiful seasons such as Fall. Especially after having driven through parts of New Jersey,I had the feeling "Can anything good come out of New Jersey?" But I have reformed my ways....some, and especially after seeing this website
New Jersey
And these are some nice pics from my part of the country

hey friend - i agree i LOVE fall the changing of colors and the smell of fall in the air - however - it is FREEZING outside and that makes me wonder what a warmer fall and winter would be like....
Nice poetry, Rebecca! Yeah, I miss the fall too...the orange and red leaves and my mother's cooking. I'm already thinking about Thanksgiving!
I am with you there. I miss Jersey all the time - not just in Fall. It is not just big cities. There are hills, and curvy roads (that are really fun to drive fast on!) and beautiful scenery.
You know, the other side of this, is that it is frightfully cold here right now, and I'm in the mild NW next to the ocean and it's not even winter yet. Tonight I made the mistake of taking the bus without wearing socks under the Keens, and it was a miserable 20 minutes in the layover. I miss the relative warmth of Morocco. Even if it is colder inside.
