Hi Rebecca, Just for the record, I concur that this pic belongs in a magazine, (as do many that you take) but now I am curious as to who has the same initials as me :)
Also for the record, you are now contributing to the education of some LBC English Comp students who are learning the art of descriptive writing. Know why? I cut/pasted your "NJ Fall" paragraph and sent it to one of our new Eng profs. She was delighted to have a "real" piece of (good) writing to use as a sample. (After she finishes teaching this group, she'll have a cache of her own for future use...) Her reply to me was so enthusiastic that I was compelled to forward her a few more from your past postings!
I just got home a bit ago and found that Rachel had called, so I will talk with her next and see how she is fairing as a mother of 3.
I am assuming this is your week of break and hope you are sleeping, going to one of those "spas", and generally just enjoying the time off.
Have you heard of Skipe (sp?) for communicating through computer. It is free (no phone charges)and the Chair of our TESOL program said she uses it all the time for overseas conversations. No delay in relay of voice and it is clear, crisp. If you don't know about it, do you want me to have her email you with info?
Are you planning to come stateside for Christmas? Love you, Aunt Shirley
Aunt Shirley - Wow! That's cool! My friend Julie is also a creative writing teacher for a hs in CT and she used something I wrote last fall for one of her classes - I think it was "Gift to the Sea" from last August or September.
I did have a good week off. I went to a little beach town about 6 hours south of here where they are used to tourists, so it was a nice break from the normal routine of being hassled here about my blue eyes every time I step out of the door.
Oh - you can find ST by clicking on my link for "Scot" at the right side of the main page for this blog.

That shot belongs in a magazine!
Is this the way I answer your blog? Can't wait to see the slippers. What a beautiful color shot- so clear. Thanks a bunch already.
